| Kathy, I had to log off right after finding out the sad news this afternoon. I needed to cuddle with Buddy on the couch and have a good cry. Buddy didn't know why, of course, but he understood enough to know I needed to shower him with affection just at that time - he was all to willing to accept and return the favour. I know it's the similarities in age and appearance between Ruger-puppy and Buddy that touched me so deeply - bringing home the fact that my time with Buddy is so precious and uncertain, especially after the health scare I had with him this summer. I can only imagine the pain and suffering you're going through right now, Kathy. These pups worm their way into our hearts and souls in ways that some people just don't understand, don't they. They become a part of us, just as we become a part of them. A little bit of us goes with them - until we see them again. Love to you and Rick, and Ruger-Puppy in doggie heaven, Deb |

| My dearest friends, I have been trying to find the words to thank all of you, the compassion and love you have all shown both Rick and I during this very difficult time has overwhelmed us. All of your posts, poems, pictures, emails, cards and calls have touched us both. I am at a loss for words. As expected, it is so very hard, and I am having trouble holding myself together for more than ten minutes at a time. I miss my best friend and Rick misses her little girl. I know in time all the wonderful times and happy memories we shared will replace most of the hurt and sadness, but my heart is just so heavy right now and I do miss her so much. I know I always will. Ruger had a good long life and yesterday her time had come. Both Rick and I made the decision to make sure she didn't suffer and to be able to let her go with the dignity and respect she so deserved. My dear friends, again, thank you so much for your caring words and love, and thank you for being such wonderful Aunties and Uncles to our Ruger. | Oh Kathy I am so so sorry to read about Ruger it is so hard when any family member passes on and I know that's what Ruger was. Although I don't visit that often now I remember my time on the siggie thread and all the pics of Ruger that were there I think I did her a tag myself.. Just wanted to let you know how sorry I was. Hugs ((Kathy & Rick)) "There is no death, only a change of worlds." Try to be very still.............you will see, Ruger is upon the wind. May you come to know that what was, still is!! | My dear friends I still cannot even begin to express in words how appreciative I am with all your support this past week. The outpouring of love, thoughtfulness and genuine concern and caring has meant so much to both me and Rick. It truly is helping in my healing process. Ruger was a very special part of our family and I know she would be so honoured by all the tributes and compassionate good-byes.
